Risa joined The Takarazuka Revue Company with the top score in 1990. Became the lead singer position, unprecedentedly selected as an Etoile, on the finale of the first stage.
Next year Risa played the career first heroin role with her outstanding singing skill on the stage Franz Lehar Operetta “Land of Smils (微笑みの国/Das Land des Lächelns)”. She also fulfilled the recording with Symponie-Orchester der Volksoper Wien in Vienna.
Risa played an epoch-making leading part and sang the theme song of the NHK TV drama “Piano” in 1994. After she bacame to Tkarazuka’s top star, withdrawing from The Takarazuka Revue Company in 1996. Afterwards she continued to be successfully active in TVs, movies, stages, radios, and TV CMs.
Risa was selected as a starring role of the Hong Kong movie "「Midnight Fly」(夜間飛行)” in 2001. The movie theme song she sings came to win the Best Original Filming Song Awards in Taiwan (Golden Horse Awards/金馬奨).
Risa released the CD Album “Misty Moon” from BMG Japan in 2007.
Risa debuted as a main voice over actor “Charo” in the NHK Educational TV program “A little Charo” airing from 2008.
She also aggressively performed as a singer with Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra and so on.
Risa was so touched at the time of the Great Earthquake in 2011, she made to start her heart-heart acoustic live tour throughout Japan with the guitar player known in the know Shigenobu Sasako from 2012, later releasing the duo album “Silent Love (あなたを想う12の歌)“ from Victor Entertainment Co,. Her newest album is “(う・た・が・た・り)” from Universal Music in Spring 2018. It’s all made in Japanese of Risa Junna’s attractive and enchanting voice, containing her five self-written original songs.
Currently Risa is performing, notwithstanding the sight of the scale of its size, with Orchestras in hall concerts, duo-lives with a guitars and pianos. In 2019, she made an actress come-back in 10 years as now on.
Risa also continues the regular radio DJ in “(ありがとう、先生)” on Tokyo FM.
